As february turns to march the sun lights up my workshop again after a long, dark winter.
My favorite lute size, the 7- course lute in g.  This one will soon be delivered to the new owner. This lute is my prsonal study in making a good sounding lute for the demanding student with decent materials attention to sound and important details like well functioning tuning pegs, proper string spacings and action. Some time consuming ornaments had to be sacrificed,  to keep the price affordable. Thanks to my friend  Lörinczi György for sourcing decent plum tuning pegs! Further development has to be done on the final student model so stay tuned... probably I will go for a good 9 rib lute body.
