A new instrument for Norwegian folk music, "slåttespel"
In 2022 I started a new project and set out to invent a new instrument intended to make the Norwegian folk music Hardingfeleståttar tradition available to lute and guitar players and hopefully to a greater public. The project has a budget of NOK 250 000 kr and with a substantial support of NOK 125 000 from Vestland Fylke, Bergen Kommune and The Norwegian Center for folk music and dance  the first lute was designed and made in collaboration with fiddle maker Lukas Pawelka.  Two more people from the Ole Bull Akademiet are worth to mention:  Wiebke Lüders, instrument conservator and fiddel maker is a project consultant and : Tom Willy Rustad, the first musician to involve in the project.
